A self-proclaimed “Techno-Geek” Jon keeps the class up to speed, troubleshooting computer and camera problems as well as helping the students who need it and keeping technical snags to a minimum.

Arthur Rainville & Jennifer Hudson | Creative Views on Art & Portraiture

Arthur Levi Rainville has been called, “…one of our industry’s premier creative minds.”  Known for enticing photographers to be more innovative in their imagery and their business, Arthur continues to travel the country speaking with groups hungry for his inspirational message.
Working out of his studio in historic Whitinsville, Massachusetts for over 40 years, he is known for his soft, granular color work.  Refinements of this life’s passion lead to his lyrical Mansuesco style of today.  Defying a definable formula, Mansuesco, much like Impressionism, is a plurality of looks.  An innate quality of light coupled with a compositional choreography is akin to his signature style.  In a one-man show at the French Cultural Center, his work was astutely referred to as “…a synthesis of observation and imagination blended with a palette of gauzy colors.”  Returning photographic Portraiture to an art form is his muse.
Arthur serves as Director of the prestigious New England School of Photography in Boston, where he has taught Portraiture for 25 years.  As a prolific author and noted touring lecturer, he has work being shown throughout the United States, South America and Europe.

JENNIFER HUDSON, M. Photog., Cr., CPP is one of the “now” generation of visualists creating beguiling images that are both artistically stylized and meticulously crafted.  Founder of Perry Aslyn Photography, Fort Worth, Texas’, premiere Wedding Studio, and now residing in Boston, MA with her new Studio, OliveAvonlea, Jennifer is a rising star in the PPA ranks, achieving sufficient merits for her Masters and Craftsman in just three years, along with a host of trophies and awards in every category.
She is in constant demand to teach her unique brand of Vintage and Haute Couture imagery.  Last year she wowed with her innovative approach to Fine Art Portraiture at Texas School, West Coast School and Image Explorations in Victoria, Canada.  She is currently Director of Portrait/Wedding at Center for Digital Imaging Arts at Boston University.
With a classical music and orchestral background, she breathes life into her portraits with an air of subtly that only inspired thought and a delicate, inventive hand can achieve.  Dreamlike influences and stirring emotional demeanor truly separate her photographs from the mundane.
Her work offers up the drama that dwells in the human psyche.
She has been called: “….a gifted talent, her enchanting images are inexhaustible invitations to a romanticized reality.”
